i just wanted to write something today. the album is coming along. looks like it will be 10 or 11 songs. i gotta add some more textures & keyboard stuff while hype's polishes up the lyrics. so, there's still work to be done, but i feel it will be well worth it in the end. i like the tracks. i like the sounds.
i really want to play shows. hype & i are in the booking process. seems to be a lot of DJs in demand in the PA/NJ area. motherfuckers & their dancing. no disrespect to gaga. maybe a little. hopefully the shows will come flowing soon, cause i know hype & i will put on something wacky.
i don't know why i feel this way, but i feel the new wine thieves record could be "big in japan" as mr. waits would put it. not that its this crazy, obscure piece of music that americans couldn't possibly grasp, it just seems like some japanese hip hop heads would be digging our vibe. europe, too ... why not. i'd play spain.
i chilled with hype this weekend. he came down to my place this time. it was fun because when we first started hanging out & making music it was around places that i live by. we took one of my crazy backroads into jersey & hit up main st. like the old days. we also smoked @ our old time train tracks we used to chill at all the time years ago. it was cool revisiting the past while working on the future. i'm gonna try to make it up july 2 for another session for the album @ the buzz studios. til then.
